Halfway There!

Today, (Saturday, 30 August 2008) residents from the estate were invited

as guests of UHB, Balfour Beatty and Consort Healthcare to a fun

day celebrating the achievement of halfway toward construction of the new

Queen Elizabeth Hospital which is due to open in the Summer of 2010.

Residents were invited to look around part of the interior of the new hospital

and sign a wall which will be part of the reception area of the hospital for

many years to come.

James, a local resident decided to put Roman Way Estate’s mark on the

wall (see below)

As part of the fun day, residents were treated to a free burger and drink

then invited to take part in the many free activities for all the family,

not least a ride on the Bucking bronco!

The group would like to thank UHB, Balfour Beatty and Consort Healthcare

for a fun day which was enjoyed by all concerned!

We look forward to a continued healthy relationship with all concerned

and would reassure residents that their concerns continue to be raised with

and heard by the developers of the new hospital!
